Question: Am I too young (or old) to begin dancing?
Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT! (Pun intended.) Social and even competitive dancing is popular with dancers from age 8 (even younger) to 80 years old and higher. We offer classes for youth and adults - you are as only as old as you dance (feel) so get on the dance floor today!
Question: What if I have "2 left feet?"
Answer: Don't worry! Everyone can learn how to ballroom dance. We will work with you according to your personal learning style. We will have you moving (with the music) faster than you think is possible!
Question: How much does it cost? Are there student discounts?
Answer: All of the instructors at AB Pgh are independent instructors. Our pricing is affordable and is flexible to meet the needs of your dance goals. See our pricing HERE.
Question: What about group classes, parties, and other activities?
Answer: At Absolute Ballroom, you build your package as to what you want to experience relative to your own goals. Most of our other events, classes, and parties are $10 per person and $7 for students with college ID.
Question: How much time will this take?
Answer: Everyone progresses at a different rate. Each lesson is 50 minutes and includes 10 minutes of practice time after your lesson is finished. The key to success is consistency and practice. The basic rule of thumb is: Social Dancers= 1 lesson a week plus one social dance, Beginning Competitors or Showcase Performers = 2 lessons a week +1 social dance, Advanced Competitors= 3 or more lessons a week + 1 social dance.
